Sorry to be incommunicado (or however it's spelt) for so long. I've been busy.

Well, no. That's not true. Actually, I've been very not busy. I've been doing as little as I can possibly can away with. Thinking some things over. And I think I have come to a decision about certain aspects of my life.

Wow. I feel so... I dunno. Determined, maybe? Whatever, I just know that I need to change some things before I go stark raving mad.

Private to Hermione Granger: Pardon the question, Granger, but from what I figure, you're about the best person to bother about this. What do you know about the International Confederation of Wizards' Statute of Secrecy? What sort of people count as exceptions, that sort of thing?

Very cool. Next week some time? If you need to bring the munchkins, that's fine. Playing "Uncle Zach" is always fun, and maybe I can freak Stuart out a little, talking about Can't you wait until we adopt kids someday, sweetie? Mwhahaha! *ahem* Anyway. Whenever it's convenient for you is good. I'm still job-less and free as a bird and I can make Stuart show up.

Hey, on a related note: Lavender offered me a job. What do we think? Should I do it?

Well, family members count, but usually they ask that you keep it to immediate family, or family that you really are close to. Significant others count as well, though you have to have been with the person for an appropriate amount of time. I just looked it up and it has to have been six months at least. The best thing to do would be to send a letter, explain the situation and you'll be given a response and guidance.

Uh, I'd prefer not get the authorities involved if I didn't have to. ~~I'd prefer not to have my lovelife on the Ministry's records, thanks~~ I mean, it's just, it's just curiosity, mostly.

So... If I, or whoever, was dating somebody for, say, almost 8 months now with no intentions of ending the relationship in the near future... it's okay to tell that person? That I'm seeing, or whoever is seeing. Is it as simple as that? Or are there regulations about...

Okay, hypothetically speaking, strictly, would a wizard or witch be allowed to tell his gay lover, or hers, whatever, about the wizarding world?

I'm gay. And I've been seeing a muggle for about 7 months and a bit. And I haven't told him about the wizarding world yet, but he's starting to get suspicious. He thinks I'm a spy or something. I am going to tell him. I just want to know if I would be breaking the law to do it?
